Variable describes Hostname

Hi folks

Is there any global-variable which describes the name of the server? On my own server $SERVER_ADDR gives the right result, e.g. 127.0.0.0
A foreign Server leaves this variable emty.

Any Hints???

What exactly do you mean by "foreign server"? These variables should be available to any script running under Apache.
