Rich text and mail test

how can i format some msg in colors or make a rich text....
how can i sure the person write a real email in variable

-for coloring msg i would use html 🙂
-don't know anything about rich txt and php ...
-and for checking the email you can use various aproaches, first of all make sure that it is a valid email adress by using RegEx(regular expressions), after that you can only do a complete confirmation the "hard way" send the user a mail, he needs to confirm in any way ... You could have a look at the RegEx Article on PHPBuilder, i think its a good start for RegEx ...

Is there is a way to force the rich format (sended via email) to be disappeared if the client email do not support or do not activate the rich format feature??

I am always recieve tags. I wonder also if there is a function which strips the tags from a given string.

Hi Hani,
Well i still havent used RTF with emails ... i used a mime-mail class to send out html mails and somehow i managed to display some "normal" text if the users client can't read html mails ... but it's been a while and i need to have a closer look at it again (and have no time at the moment).
There is a function called strip_tags(), i think it does what you want ... look at http://www.php.net/manual/de/ref.strings.php to see what you can do with strings in php.
