Is an URL valid ?

Hi,

Given a subdomain (www.foobar.com), I'm trying to load www.foobar.com/1.html, www.foobar.com/2.html, www.foobar.com/3.html .... and so on.

Sometimes, however, there are no 2.html or 3.html
I just want to test (using fopen) if the URL exists WITHOUT returnin a fopen error (adress does not existe) or 404 error.

You might be able to just silence the errors and test on your own by using the @ operator in front of the function call.

or use the file() function and if there isn't one then move on i.e:

$file = @file('http://www.foo.com/1.html', 'r')

if (! $file) {
//File does not exist
}
else {
do something with file
}
