If I cant use ODBC to select data using wildcards can I import all data and select from that.

Basically I need to select 3 value codes from the following data:

VGZVPP = Via Giacomo Zanella / Via Pisana
VGZSTA = Via Giacomo Zanella / Statue
VGZVAA = Via Giacomo Zanella / Via Aleardo
VAAVBG = Via Aleardo / Via Benozzo Gozzoli
VPPVBG = Via Pisana / Via Benozzo Gozzoli
VAAVMU = Via Aleardo / Via di Monte Uliveto
VPPVMU = Via Pisana / Via di Monte Uliveto

So VGZ being passed from a HTML selection choice beforehand would give the top three selections.

I then need to pass these three selections (in the form of the roads) into a dropdown HTML box.

Do I have to pass all the ODBC data through an If statement, check if VGZ exists and if so store in an array to pass to a HTML selection box later on? If this is the case, can anybody help me in how I go about this.

I've not tested it (As I don't use odbc) but as long as the data in the odbc source is in 2 fields (names irrelevant). It should perform a perl regexp pattern match on the first field, and if the value $search_for is in there, then you have a match (and it prints it out - that can be stored in an array really easily, if you want).
