Function Arg

How can I make a user-defined function that does not have a specific number of argument passed to it. Some sort of a smart function. For example

pass_it_2me_baby(a1,a2)
pass_it_2me_baby(a1,a2,a3,a4)
pass_it_2me_baby(a1,a2,a3,a4,a5,a6...)

The function is kinda smart to know the number of argument it is getting.

I don't know how to explain. I am confused myself.

my suggestion would be to have all the values put into an array. that way the function will always have only a single argument, but that array can have as many values as u need.

You are talking avbout function (parameter) overloading. This is not possible in php. Name the functions func1() func2() ... or use an array as a parameter.

Guys, READ THE MANUAL, don't guess.

The manual says:

                        PHP 3 does not support variable numbers of arguments to functions, although default arguments are supported (see
                        Default argument values for more information). PHP 4 supports both: see Variable-length argument lists and the function
                        references for func_num_args(), func_get_arg(), and func_get_args() for more information.
