Mystery image problem, any ideas?

Dear All,

I'm developing an PHP application similar to http://www.hotornot.com
and http://www.rankpeople.com. A user can visit the site, specify URL
of a photo. Then user is able to browse his statistics. Site visitors
can vote for pictures which they see - rank them from 1 to 10.

I have mystery images problem: sometimes images do not load. Only
blank square is displayed in browser. It can occur in both cases: when
I have only one photo on a page, or when I have "Top 10" page
displayed.
In first case, sometimes image does not load.
In second case, some images are loaded, and some are not.
All images are fine - when I specify their URLs in browser, they load
fine.

That is extremely odd. Check your server, make sure it supports outside images, and php. Some servers do not like external images to be presented on their hosted websites.

The problem is solved... Images do not load because server who hosts images doesn't serve them remotely, only on pages which lay on this server.

Yep, that's what my first instinct was.

Hi, I am having this issue as well, but it is not because the server does not allow others to display their images from a remote server.

After reloading the page they load.

Help 🙁
