Foreign Language Support (Chinese)

Hi,

I need to store Chinese characters in a Mysql dB using PHP(4) and then redisplay them on a HTML page.

I've found out a little about character sets, but does anyone know the best way to go about displaying Chinese (considering the site will also have English pages too).

Any help/advise appreciated.

Are you inquiring as how to store the Chinese content or how to display it??

I've not done it with mysql, but using postgres works fine for me!

Anyway, for displaying the Chinese characters correctly, all you need is to set the appropiate character set in the meta tag, eg:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=gb2312">

OR

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=big5">
