hi i have a form that saves to a sql database it takes a date stamp, in the usual format yyyy-mm-dd what i want to do is have 3 pages, one pulling out everything today (i can do this one), one pulling out everything with in the last 7 days and one pulling everything with in the last month. Does anyone know of any code that may help, i can't seem to get it to work properly, thanks Martin

Try your sql query with something like this:

SELECT * FROM table WHERE date<=NOW() AND date > DATE_SUB(NOW(), INTERVAL 7 DAY)

this in an example for mysql... don't ask me about any other databases 🙂

Ergh.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head round that statement...

I'm having a similar problem, i have a user database which people log into and then forget to log out of, so i've put in a datetime field which records when they were last on.

What i want it to do is to set their session to NULL automatically after a day, but i can't figure out the mysql syntax for working out how long people have been logged in for...

Jeez, i made that sound over-complicated.

On Microsoft SQL Server you want to do a CONVERT(Column,VARCHAR,101) to fix this
