curl and ssl

will some kind person please write something on how to use curl under ssl for php.

this is freaking me out...

some code snippets would be muchly appreciated, esp on how to xfer cookies under curl to ssl.

otherwise its time to get out the perl...sigh

(it seems wierd to me that php devs did not really make ssl support easy considering that this sort of connection is real necessary for a lot of sites... any comments)

i think they should provide way more docs. I've been screwing with CURL for 2 days trying to send and receive an XML response/request thru a SSL connection. Total pain in the @55!!! uhhhh....
