exec() problem

Hi,
I am trying to add users to our Linux based Intranetserver by calling 'useradd' via PHP's exec()-function.
The user is created, the home directory is created, but only the first directory from /etc/skel is copied to the user's home. None of the files in /etc/skel are copied and neither are the remaining 2 directories.

Any idea what goes wrong?

Sounds like a problem with 'useradd', not php.

useradd works fine from the commandline. When I call useradd with the exact same parameters from the commandline, everything works out ok.

i have the same problem.
a phpscript (binary) that i made is working fine from the commandline, but when i try to run it with exec() it does nothing, and i really needs to run it in the background but let it execute after a form post.

i'm pretty sick of it, 'couse i have been reading so much about that subject i have a headache, a really bad one.
hopefully you find a solution (cron job is not a opion really), please tell me.
