Icons for Web Pages??

Hello,

I would like to be able to have web pages show "icons" on the task bar once they are launched. Right now they show the white page with an E on them for all web sessions running.

I found documentation that allows you to change the icon in the favorites as well as in the address bar ... but I can't find anything that would allow you to assoicate an icon with a particular web page. This is for my companies intranet so I have control over the desktops and can do just about anything that needs to be done to make this work.

Any suggestions??

Put a 16x16 icon named fav.ico in the root directory of your webserver.

Thanks for responding ... but what you are saying to do will not put the icon you create on the "task bar" when you view the page.

It will:

1) Put the icon in the favorites list
2) Put the icon in the address bar

But you still get the white page with the blue E in the task bar for each page you open up.

Nice tutorial ... you will notice that is says the icon will appear in your favorites/quick launch and even the start menu.

It's not the "beginning" or "launching" of a web page that I want to show an icon for.

I want to customize the icon that represents a session of internet explorer and I want it based upon the web page that I am on :-)

You got 5 web pages open and can't read the type for each page?? You just see 5 white/blue IE buttons/icons on your task bar?? I want those icons to change ... so you can tell which is on what page :-)

I also want a bigger house and a nicer car ... so I am not immune to disappointment.

So ... if anybody knows whether it can be done or not, please let me know ...
