PHP telnet for multi system admin

Hi there,
could anybody give me some hints to develop a sys admin web site ... Up to now I've got the interface with all system data information andI would like to ,launch a telnet session to one remote system when clicking on a hypertext.

lets say you see the name of the machine and when you cick on it, a script is launch (php, ...) and launch a telnet application to the machine (the best solution would be to launch the telnet on the visitors' PC .

It's easy enough to open a telnet session from the client to the server: just use telnet://server:port and the OS Should load up a telnet window. It could all be done in sockets though, which would be the most easily-controllable method).

But you can't do it through PHP sockets...

You can do it, but it's tricky. The whole handshaking thing is a bit nasty, but it definately can be done.

And while you're at it you should be using SSH not telnet. You want to be secure right?

Yes but you can't build a telnet app through PHP, a webpage and sockets.
When the script exits, the connection is closed remember?
