I've seen some Half-Life server statistics appearing on the site with PHP, how is that possible?
I'm using the q3plug in my site, but is it possible that the texts just appear on the page without any plugins?
If you know, please tell me. 🙂

halflife servers talk tcp like just about everything else on the internet. If you write a nice socket-routine to talk to the server you can get the stats too, but you can't make it update once the page has loaded. PHP is erverside, so you can only refresh the data with a page-reload.
