Updating Fom-Fiels

Hello,

I've got a little Problem...what else..

I want to fill the fields of a form by selecting a value out of a pull down menue.

In special, I think about selecting a person by name and prename out of the list. Clicking on select should fill the other fields of the form (or a second form) with more details regarding this person out of an mysql-db.

I tried this by using the isset()-command, but could not get any working result.

You'll need to pass the value of the drop down lists to the PHP script before you can get any from the database.

If your two select lists were named "name" and "prename", you can test using isset($name) and isset($prename).

You could have an extra submit button on your form which would enable users to carry out this function, but it isn't possible to refer to the document without reloading the PHP document (this is the difference between server- and client-side).
