Retrieving Mail

Well I've talked about parsing data out of an email, but now I have to actually do it.

I thought I would just copy the file and then empty out the data in /var/spool/mail but the permissions are a hassle and I'd end up compromising to much.

Are there any functions to help out with this. I'm sure it can me done through a socket connection with localhost...

Any ideas would be of great help!

Your best bet would be to connect to a pop3 server and retrieve the mail that way through a cronjob or the like. There is a decent pop3class that you can use here:

Just click on email and then pop3 class. There is example code along with it.
