old sessions

hello
I writing auction service. I recognize clients by session. But after 5000 visits I have 5000 files. How can I delete old sessions files (like sess_hfsdafjkrfhreu658472543uhjhdg) by server site.
I have recycle bin by server site how to know what file can I remove and how remove files automaticly ????
