email attachment question

just a odd question... maybe i will find use for it later but i'm curious as to how it's done, if anyone knows...

how would i send a email file attachment through PHP? i know how to email but how do i send a file?

can someone direct me to a page that says how or can someone explane it... thanks

Check out http://heyes-computing.net/download.php?script_id=4. This is a complete mailerclass, including HTML-mail, attachment(s) and direct SMTP-sockets. Works like a charm, totally editable to your own wishes and much faster than the standard PHP mail().
