call remote files

hello,
i have tried include and fopen to call remote files off another server but they fail. i think my host f2s has disabled fopen. is there an alternative to call remote files?

What has you tried? In the past I have used something like this :

<?php include("http://www.pooh-heads.com/remotefile.php"); ?>

Or, you could always include using an IP address.

hi,
i have tried that, it doesn't work. my remotefile is .html or .js or .txt and not .php
i have tried the include and fopen commands as you said but they both don't work and the fopen command gives an error msg that i have to include the path to my directory; which i think i shouldn't to call remote files.

Would it be possible to have a .php file on the remote server that includes the .txt/html/js file? That may work... maybe...
