Need some help . . .

Hi guys,

i got a little problem. Hope i'll be clear.

i have a main php page, who's asking a login
and a password. Then i call another page, page2.php4 that way :

header ("Request-URL: http://page2.php4?user=$USER_ID");

Header ("Content-Location: http://page2.php4?user=$USER_ID");

header ("Location: http://page2.php4?user=$USER_ID");

my goal is to keep the login name accessible anywhere i go on the other page.

BUT...

page2.php4

is just assigning other page on frameset, like, i got 4 frames, so its calling page3.php4, page4.php4, and so on.

How can i access $USER_ID from page3.php4???

I still can see at the top of the browser the adress "page2.php4?user=blah", but since i'm in page3.php4, i don't know how to access $user..

OK, so your frameset page is receiving $user from your login page. The frameset page then needs to pass that variable along to each of the frames using basically the same method. Try:

<FRAME SRC="page3.php4?user=$user">

Well, i tried this one.
but (again),
on page3.php4, $user equal $user.......

i then try to put the 'frame' command inside the php quote

<?php
<FRAME SRC="...">
?>

but that way i keep getting a parse error on line 20 🙁
