Redirecting a form after submit it

I want to make a thanx page load when someone clicks on the submit button of a form. I´ve tried to do this with the redirect tag and it doesn´t work.
My form is a PHP script that calls itself
At this moment after pressing the submit button, the page is redirecting to itself.
What should I do?

that isn't what i he wants... you can't display text and then change the headers.

on your 'thanks' page, put a meta refresh in the <head>. i don't remember the exact syntax... something like

the '5' is the delay before going to the new page.

make sure you put it in the <head></head> area

try something like the following where the submit button tells it what to do
