Problem with ftp_get()

Dear All,

I faced problem with ftp_get(). my code is
<?
$conn = ftp_connect("www.deshmail.com");
$login=ftp_login($conn, "username", "password");
ftp_get($conn, $file, $file,FTP_BINARY);
ftp_quit($conn);
?>

when i tried to run this code it showed me

"Warning: error opening file in ftp_get.php3 on line 23"

so could u please help how I solved it. I have an emergency to solve this problem.

the problem is caused here

$conn = ftp_connect("www.deshmail.com");

www.deshmail.com is a web site name
due to this u r not able to fetch the
connection id and if u dont get the
connection id login is not possible.

check out fot the ftpserver name

use in this form:-

$conn=ftp_connect("give here ftp server name");

Though www.deshmail.com is a web site name, this also a ftp server. We r often use this for ftp. The problem is with ftp_get().

If you have more idea please let me know.

even i am facing the same problem that
of u'rs ftp_get().

i was able to ftp my files using
fputs() and was also able to create
more than 20 dynamic html files
on the sever.i was able to upload
more than 10 files...these uploaded
files r needed to b downloaded in the same
manner.so i used ftp_get()

but by system is out of space showing a warning same as u got.

well if we join together hope we would
get a conclusion for the same problem
will u be able to help me.
