session problem..

hi guys,

I'm new to php and have just started playing with session. This is the problem, when I use session_start(); I get this error :

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_625ad112f9d95ab1cc4b66c1fc79b1f3, O_RDWR) failed: m (2) in d:\tom\slivered\index.php on line 2

I've created the tmp directory in apache and

I think its the "\" after tmp, but I dont know where I can fix this.

Try playing around with php.ini file, since this is where the session handling problems lie... in my case session failed to start until i actually removed references to any directories in the php.ini file i.e. just left a backslash / to define the root directory...
