Reading specified lines from a .txt file

Hi...
yeah, i know newbie questions are annoying but i would be very happy if somebody could help me with this :
I've got a .txt file with several information about someone. i.e :

User 1
Personal Information :
Name: Joe
Gender: m

Computer Hardware:
CPU: 450mhz PII
RAM: 256MB

User 2
Personal .....

now i want to create a html page where the information is put into specific tables ( i.e
<table><tr>
<td>name:</td>
<td>Joe</td>
</tr>
</table>
)
...well basically thats it... i searched for about 1hour for a script like this one but found nothing wich really matches whit this.

Read the file into an array using the file() function.
Now you have an array wirth on element per line of the file.

Then loop through the elements of the array and process each line
according to your needs.

For example, check wether the line begins with 'User' to find where a user-block starts, or wether a line begins with 'Name' to find a user's name.

Ofcourse you'd same yourself ton's of trouble if you put all this into a database...

That's a tricky one. I'd reccommend switching that info over to a MySQL database before you go any further, especially if your list will eventually grow verrrry large.

I could propose a number of 'quick fixes' involving string manipulation with regular expressions, but the best result for you with the least amount of headache in the future will involve using PHP to retrieve that info from a DB.

Perhaps someone else has a simple solution to your problem that i'm not aware of...i'll check back here later to see...
