52 weeks in 1 year

Forgive the ambiguous subject heading, but i need to know how to calculate what the dates are for each of the 52 weeks in the year. So if i passed a value to a script of 'week2 in March 2001' it gave me back the actual dates for that week in the year. I 've been told that alot of companies work to these weeks rather than dates.

Any help would be much appreciated

ytou can calculate the starting unixtime for a certain week, then add 604800 seconds (exactly 1 week) and every dat in between will be in that particular week.

use date() and mktime():

echo date ("M-d-Y", mktime (0,0,0,1,65,1997));

yes, that's day 65 of january 1997.
and it outputs as

Mar-06-1997

In other words, you could put
echo date ("M-d-Y", mktime (0,0,0,1,($weeks * 7),1997));
to get the date of the first dat of week $week in the year 1997 (or whatever year you want)

Ofcourse you have to take care that the first week starts at day 1, not at day 7.
