readline() missing from RH71 RPMS?

When I try to use the readline() function, PHP responds with

<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function: readline() in <b>./phpi</b> on line <b>34</b><br>

I have readline-4.1-9 installed as well as the php and php-pgsql packages. What else must I install to get readline()?

You probably need to recompile the stand-alone PHP binary using the --with-readline argument to the config script.
