delete/remove an element of an array

is there a way to delete/remove an element of an array if it is empty?

I guess you mean something like

for ($t=0;$t<count($array);$t++)
{
if ($array($t)=="")
{
unset($array[$t]);
};
};

when I do that, it just deletes the element's content but the element still is there, just empty. is there a way I can remove that element completely?

I just posted the excact same question, didnt see this thread ofcause... 🙂

Well, i also tried the solution posted here, my array looks like this:
the_array['','','something','something','']

A count would return the value, 5 (5 elements)

When I apply the FOR solution posted here, it seems the last element is actually deleted, the count return's 4 now, and echoing the array results in a 4 line output.

Sorry GWiZZ, this isnt much of a solution, but in my array it acutally does remove atleast 1 element, and not only the content, but i hope someone else can help us out...

Hi,I met the same problem.I try to sort them after using "unset",it seems that it could work,but there are still some problems with it.But I think maybe that using kind of "sort" functions to deal with it is a direction for our problem,hoping someone could make it out....
