Disabling caching but pages still cached

Hi,

I'm semi-new to the idea of caching, and I've been trying to have a way such that a user cannot hit the back button on their browser without having to revalidate the previous page. I added five headers to each PHP page (cache-control, expires, last-modified, and pragma). However, I can still refresh the page and click back and forward as I please. Is there any way, besides having the page auto-refresh on load, to prevent this?

Dont know if this will help you, but if you are desperate to reload the pages contents, make sure that these are include files, then they will not be cached, images, on the other hand, can be reffered to as something.gif?rnd=12345 where rnd is a randomly generated number.

I have never had your problem before, but have designed a few banner rotation systems and in order for the client not to cache the reference to your banner, you just add this extra random number bit...
