list : mutiple selection from list

Hello,

How to access multiple selection of item from a list.
For eg.

<select name="articleid" size="6" multiple>
<option value="1">aaa</option>
<option value="2">bbb</option>
<option value="3">ccc</option>
</select>
if user has selected items 2,3 then how will on server side ,we will get it.

Chnage the select name to name="articleid[]" to place all the selected options into an array called 'articleid'.

Yes, but then there is another problem I've been trying to figure out for the past 8 hours...

I submit the form and store the contents of articleid[] into the correct SQL database field.

But then, when I go to recall and retrieve the values... it just says "Array"... How can I get it to list out the values that were selected, "aa, bb" for example.
