Does anyone know how I can get the number of seconds (or any other time unit) until the following saturday?

I'm making a poll, and it's updated every saturday. I want the cookie I set to be deleted(or expire) when there's a new voting topic. Is there a better way to do it?

First get the current time, then get the time for that saturday, then minues the saturday to the current time. Then you can use that as the cookie expiry time.
