uploading directory to server?

How is it possible to upload the whole directory to the server?

File uploads I´ve seen many examples but not directory uploads.
It should upload the whole directory structure. So if there are subfolders under one directory it should transfer them also and look the same in the server as they are at the local machine when it is looked downward from the directory you select.

HTTP doesn't support that.

You could try it with Javascript, but I doubt that there are functions wich will
let you upload files without the users permission (for security reasons)
so you'd need to upload each file seperately...

Is it possible to upload multiple files at once then?

Now the system is like the students can upload one file in to the school server at once. Many projects that students have incude multiple files and students have been complaining about this problem that is frustrating and time -taking to do this uploading function 40 times.

Is this problem in directories? Can many files be chosen and sent to server at once? Or is the problem that you cannot create a directory in to someone elses server? Would this be somehow solved in the server side that it allows the creating of directory from another machine?

I´m sorry? I haven´t used these kind of services before and I don´t know right now what manual are you referring to.
