PHP and PDF Docs

I am new to PHP being a Java developer for web applications and e-commerce. PHP looks fresh and exciting and I am giving it a try. Where I am stuck at is I need to generate a graph from input taken on an HTML form, and without seeing the graph on the web page, place the graph on a templated PDF document. Has anyone done something close to this that I could get a code sample from? Is the best method to create graphs is to use a plug-in? Anything would help.

Hi,
Did you find anything? I am trying to decide whether to use PDFLib or ClipPDF (both have unsatisfactory licenses, but there seems no choice), and graphing is important to me.

P.S. the other important thing is using Japanese fonts - any problems with either in this respect?
