mysql and php connect

Hi there all

here i want to connect mysql sever from php file but not using localhost. Means i have 2 server one is mysql sever and other is web server so now i want to keep the files in the web server and connect the mysql database from that server. Is it possible.

You don't think it would make sense to change 'localhost' to the hostname of the database server?
