Does anyone know where to locate php and mysql programmers in the minnapolis area who would like to get together and build a project?

Sorry I don't know anyone in Minnapolis, but why do they have to be local? PHP is mainly a web based language why can't you use people who are anywhere? You'd have a larger base of people to draw on and probably get people with a larger range of skill levels.

I'd suggest that you post the type of project that you are looking to do here and see if anyone is interested in helping.

The local issue is just a hope, however if there is are PHP gurus in the forum who are interested I would be happy to share.

The project will utilize a mysql database backend and a php frontend to operate a marketing tool for web publishers. (Think bcentral meets mypoints.)

Well personally that doesn't sound like an interesting project to me. It's been done before and unless you have some radical ideas it's not a very challenging task. Plus it looks very comercial and for me to work on something comercial it would have to be a paying gig.

I program all day long in PHP for my work, and to take on a side project it would either have to be very worth my while financially, or it would have to be an extreemly interesting/challenging project.
