I want to search a table in MySql for a certian entry.
Can it work similar to how eregi() works?
SELECT x FROM y WHERE x=search won't work, because it will return an exact match.

Well if you want to do something in MySQL, don't you think you'd learn more about it on the mysql website instead of the php website? :-)
Well, the php website is where I got all my information about mysql in the first place. Sorry I'm new to PHP(well, somewhat). I go to the manual 99% of the time before I come here. Sometimes I just don't understand something.
