Unix command - Date Calculation

I need to take the current date from the UNIX machine and subtract 60 days. I only need month and year.

Example: if today is 07/02/2001 I need to be able to calculate 05/2001.

No problem. However, just a little correction: the Unix timestamp isn't minutes, it's seconds.

5184000 is merely 606024*60 or seconds to minutes to hours to days times sixty days.

The date can, of course, be formatted any way you like.

You (and all other Americans on this list - or anyone else who likes to set off explosives and celebrate what freedoms we have left) have a great Independance Day too.

I tested the code on PHP 4.0.4 on a Windows 2000 server and it worked with no problem.
One thing you might try:

$currtime_in = time();
$time_st= $currtime_in-5184000;
$newday_st = date("m/Y",$time_st);

By the way, which line was the error occurring on? Could there have been errors above the code I gave you such as missing semicolons, missing parentheses or missing quotes? Give me a bigger chunk of code and I'll see what I can see.

I'm using HP UNIX 10.0. With the first line of this code,I get the error `), invalid.
I think the problem is the type UNIX we are using. I don't know if you can help me. Thank you for your time!

I don't know what to say. It sounds like your server is crapping out on the time() function. To test this, try echoing the value of time() in a test program and see what it returns.
