CCS Style Sheets - any know where?

Any one know were I can ask a question about Style Sheets? Any News Groups? I couldn't find any.

I've applied a class="myStyle" and it works great in IE5.5 however, in NS6 it's freak'n. I have the class="myStyle" embeded in my <a href> tags.

I have two CCS styles one called "NavLink", and another called "NavLink_Orange".

For the link that I want to appear Orange, I've placed the class="NavLink_Orange" into the <a href> link for that menu item, whereas all my other menu items have class="NavLink" --

Any suggestions on how to get this to work in NS6 ?

I wasn't even aware NS6 supported CSS! It's probably not even a problem with your CSS. It probably resides inside Netscape...I've had countless 'dumb' problems with trying to get sites NS/MSIE compatible. Heh, you should keep in mind that 85% of browsers are MSIE anyways...sorry NS lost the battle.

Thanks man.

I know most of the users out there are MSIE (it's a FAR better browser.... hats off to MS...)

However, I would like my site to look (more or less) the same between NS4.77 - NS6.x and MSIE -- as you know NS4.77 doesn't support CSS, but NS6 does. It really doesn't make sense why it wouldn't work in NS6... my code seems cool.

My site isn't public yet -- ie. not public URL is available. I appreciate it though. :-)

Hi Jason;

Actually, if your CSS is up to par and meets the W3C's CSS-1 specification you should have little problem with the same style sheet working in IE4+, Opera 5+, and Netscape 6+. The problem is usually because IE is so much more forgiving with HTML and CSS and can do a better job of guessing than Netscape.

Without seeing the CSS I can't really diagnose the problem - so please email it to me and I'll take a look.

If you're shooting for the rollover effect you don't need two different classes. For example: go with a.plain for the plain link, a.hover:plain for the mouseover that activates the color: attribute.

In either case, email me the CSS and I'll take a look.
