get_browser() problem

Howsit,

I'm having dificulty getting the get_browser() function to work. I've downloaded the browscap.ini file. I've configured php to use it from php.ini. ini_get("browscap") returns the correct path to the browscap file. There are no errors in apache's error log. Is there anything else I could be missing?

I'm pulling my hair out. Any help appreciated!
