i am trying to use flat database file to find more about an employee after he/she enters her company id #. here is a sample entry (one line):
|us|0000094471|(MASLESA)BELDEN|ANA|ANA|amaslesa|1104668080|UNI01|UUNI01|||valley|West|818-487-3470|ana.belden@West|M|UNIVERSAL CITY, UNITED STATES|
in my form, i require user to enter their employee id. so suppose for the above case if i enter a id 94471 and use the following function under php:
$array_key=array_search($empid, $Empsource);
where Empsource is:
$Empsource=file("/website/source/nameslistx");
it still doesn't find the empid and return nothing in array_key variable. what am i doing wrong here? please advise.
