extract all headings from html doc

I am trying to extract the content between the heading tags in an html page.

I am able to open the page but can't seem to extract the content between the heading tags.

Here is what I been trying....

eregi ("<h(.*)</h?>", $line, $out)

any help is appreciated. (I am using PHP3)...

Assuming $html is what stores the page's source...

$header = eregi_replace(".+<head>(.+)</head>.+", "\1", $html);
