Stupid question?

I'm a real PHP newbie, and I'm just asking if there's a variable(right word?) for the page currently open. Like:
if ($thevariable? == "somepage.php")

Please tell me if you know.

i suggest you write yourself a simple script as follows:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

when you run it, it will spit out all information about php on your server including configuration and environmental variables. depending on what you need it for, there are a variety of environmental variables that can be used.
