Canceled Download Problem...

Hello everybody,
I know that different download problems related to Headers were discussed here a few times already. However, after quite a bit of searching I could not find an answer to the following problem.

I manage to setup Headers to get downloads going on majority of browsers including famous IE5.5 version. My problem is that when user cancels download, any further requests to the other pages of my web site are not getting response. First I thought that the problem has to do something with unfinished response from the server to browser window. I modified my scripts so parent window opens new child wind to execute download requests. When I cancel download, close the child window, my new requests from parent window still don't get any response. When download is finished properly I don’t have any problems with new requests.

Here's what I would do. Get a packet sniffer/analyzer and check the data on each request/response as you duplicate the problem. A tool that I have used is CommView Pro, which has a 30-day trial. It's crippled to only show 1/2 the packet data, but if you view the details of each packet you should be fine:

Just look for anything odd in any of the headers that are passed.
