Hi !
I'm trying to use the following function to check the validity of an email adress :

ereg("^{([0-9,a-z,A-Z]+)(.,)@(.,,-).{2}([0-9,a-z,A-Z])?$",$Email)}

The problem is : an email with a "-" don't works : [e-mail]
I'm out with regular expressions, so can somebody help ?

I've always used this ereg:

eregi("^{[a-z0-9-]+(.[a-z0-9-]+)@[a-z0-9-]+(.[a-z0-9-]+)$",$email)}

And it should work. Let me know if it doesn't.

Here's one I've used in the past.

preg_match("/^{[a-z0-9_\-\.]+@[a-z0-9\-\.]+\.[a-z]+$/i",} $email)
