Problem in retrieving full data from DB

Whenever i am retreiving any information from database which contains huge info along with html tags..i am facing the problem to retrieve the entire data(from some point it is not retreived) from the database.
i tried all the options still i am not able to retrieve.is there any restriction in php
wherein any variable can hold only small amount of data..if so what is solution for above problem to retrieve more data and display..

hello surendra,

it has nothing to do with the capacity of php vars.

as a matter of principle you shud always use htmlentities(),stripslashes() etc(look for more under string functions in manual)on the text/values before you store them in tables.

try this and let me know.

but data is already there in tables, i wanted to retrieve existing data. now i can't use any stripslashes(), htmlentities() etc string functions. i have tried these functions already on returned data. but returned data is not full, truncated one.
let me know any other suggestions..

Well, for future keep in mind taht you shud always, do the same while storing it in tables.
Can you see the entire data when you are selecting in the database itself ie using a mysql client or telnet?

is it visisble in the tables in database?

if, yes then try and find till what 'point'you are getting it in php and then find a way to get the rest, you will have to use some tricks i guess..

other than that ,i cant say anything till i see what is causing the problem!
