vb Code, function?

Hi, I have created a discussion forum and would simply like to allow users to use the already standard ubb/vb code to format their text. However, the code I found in vbulletin lite doesn't contain a very advanced filter.

Does anyone have a very thorough vb/ubb compatible filter function that I can use? Look at the "vB Code" help page to see what functionality I will need.

I have spent many hours tinkering with eregi but since I am not an expert at it I'd like to have something fool-proof.

I'd also like to have the "Automatically Parse URLS" functionality.
