weekly email

sorry if this a bit lame but i'm just starting out.

i've got a text log file that i would like to email to the site owner and if possible clear out or remove.

is there a way to automatically send an email with attachment at a specified time each week using php?

PHP can't schedule jobs to run. If you are using a Unix type system the you can simply use Cron to schedule your jobs. If you are on a windows system you will have to download a decent scheduler.
