I am now using the following statement...
select p.name, g.player, r.rating, count(g.player) goals, avg(r.rating) ratings from players p, fixtures_scorers g, fixtures_ratings r WHERE p.name = g.player AND p.name = r.player GROUP BY name ORDER BY goals desc
That, though, only lists players that have scored a goal and are thus listed in the fixtures_scorers table, and if a player has scored three goals but is listed in the fixtures_ratings table twice, he is put down as having scored six goals.
Any ideas?
I want every player in the players table to be listed, not just those who have scored.
