Connection Error To Sql Server

Dear Sir,
I am a new user of PHP .I have made
connection from PHP to Mysql.But I am unable to SQL Server or ODBC.when I attempt to connect with SQL Server or ODBC Message is notified that 'undefined Function'.I have checked that there was no error in my coding.
if you can identity the error just inform me. so that I will be gratify to you.

I'm having the same problem.
Think it has something to do with the install or config of MySQL.

I used RPM for RedHat to install MySQL and when I ran safe_mysql I got the message:
Sorry the host ´xxxxxxx´ could not be looked up.

Did you have the same problem.
