Custom News system HELP!!!!!

hi there people, im a big newbie of php. just finished my book about it, i want to write a program for my web site, www.pointblankgaming.com the program will be a news update system sorta like PERL's NewsPro, the program will allow admins to add, modify, or delete news articles, the program will take the submitted article, add it to the database, then take the latest 20 articles and place them on the news page. i also want to allow people to post comments about the article. the basics of the Newspro system are sorta the same but its in perl instead of php, but i want the same things, a news subject, date and time of the post, the news body and the admin's name who submitted the news which would be linked to his email, the name and date would be added automaticly when the admin went to the addnews.php page to submit a article. so can somebody with some knowledge on how to write this program and would be willing to spend some time with a newbie like me and help me, well id greatly appreciate it. my ICQ# is 100480078 and my email is [e-mail] my website is a large gaming network and gaming news site, but we are not up yet because i need to get the news program writen.

You will see the news updater script that I wrote. Obviously you cant see the back end But I configured it so that when my administrators logged into our administrative section, they could add, change, and delete posts from there. Each message is encoded with the admins details so that I can track the message back to the admin who posted it. Once posted users can make comments on the post, print the post, or email the post to a friend. If you like I can even show how many comments have already been made, which I currently do not show. I can also make any type of modifications you would like. After all, I built it, I can redisign it 🙂 I can set it up for you and everything though.

Thats php nuke he is using. Go check out www.phpnuke.org and download that. It is alll done up (a whole site), but if you are like me, code it yourself. Coding by yourself is fun and you can make anything you want.

Wrong that is not PHP Nuke, when I started to learn PHP, I used Nuke to start my page. However after two weeks I found out that I can not do most of the stuff I wanted to do with it. So I decided to use the same layout, but just write all my own code. Everything, except the forum was written by me. I am currently waiting a new html design to be finished, and then I will switch to that one.

actually i want to make my own programs to use to but i just finished my php book and im still really new to it so i posted this thread to see if somebody would be willing to help me make one. i dont want to use phpnuke and i dont really want somebody to make one for me, i want to make one myself so i get experience with this stuff and so i can customize it to fit my site.
