PREG: Contain but not end in char

I have a preg rexep that is giving me headaches (as usual). I have a string, given the following (this is only part of the regexp, but its the one that I am concearned about):
"([0-9 ;:,-]+)/"

So, say I have
"123-345 567-4,678; "
I would want the space between the 2 fives to match, but NOT the trailing space. How would I best accomplish this desired result?

Errr.... for clarification... I want it to match the string, but NOT conain the trailing space(es) (which may or may not be present) in the subgroup. I am looking into using assertions to accomplish this, but I have no clue how these work, so input is still appreciated.
