Submitting Inputs with PHP

Okay... i have the inputs there... but how do i make it so that i can have say:
register.php

name: <i enter my name here>
|submit|

then it goes to confirm_reg.php
and it says...

"The following information is what you have given us..."

Name: <the name i entered>

could i please get some help with this? i would be most grateful.. thankyou.

Your message is very confusing to me, were you talking with someone else about this before and are just getting back to them?

From what I can gather, you have a form, it posts data to confirm_reg.php. That page accepts the data and then shows you the name you entered previously. What then?

Every field in the HTML form has a name. In any PHP file you can refer to the field by using a '$' sign before the field name.

e.g.

HTML File (containing form)

Now write the following CONFIRM_REG.php file:

<form action="confirm_reg.php">
<input name="YourName">
<input type="submit">
</form>

Now write the following CONFIRM_REG.php file:

You have entered:

<?php
echo $YourName;
?>

i have the PHP Manual, but that doesnt explain everything.. .do you recommend downloading anything else that may help me?
